POSITION DESCRIPTION: Senior Business Analyst


Responsible for managing and controlling the activities that provide operational support for a business segment or group. Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application. Leads process improvement initiatives through use of measurements, accountability, analysis and consideration of process alternatives in order to arrive at best practices.


Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience

Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan

Writing Functional and Operational Specifications for translation to application design, development op

Requirements Management, facilitating brainstorming and business process improvement

Experience in creating Use cases, and Swimlanes

Generally domestic scope/accountability

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years as a Business Analyst

  • 3 years creating user stories, process flows

  • 3 years in Transportation and/or tolling sector

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent understanding of solution architecture, development processes, and current technologies

  • Experience writing and maintaining requirements documentation

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience working with software development, QA and operations teams

  • Experience using Jira and collaboration tools

  • Ability to multitask and react in a fast-paced organization

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain operational concepts at various levels

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with an ability to manage competing demands

  • Ability to promote process improvement and be an advocate for change
