Lead Business Analyst Purpose:

The Information Management, Lead Business Analyst is the primary liaison between systems developers and the operational/functional groups delivering on various process transformation and system implementation programs. The selected candidate will work directly with Operational groups within Finance and various lines of business to translate processing requirements into design specifications. This position will develop program specifications and review and coordinate the development of specifications. The candidate will also be responsible for the development of test plans and coordination with program and project managers to maintain task/action plans within the overall Front Office delivery program.

This position requires a thorough knowledge and experience of relational databases, primarily SQL and/or Oracle, and a comfort level integrating with technology including all aspects of client server computing, Microsoft Office, and the extended Suite of Office tools. The selected candidate in this role must be able to create and run complex SQL queries.

This is a senior position. The incumbent will be expected to perform job duties with minimal oversight. Must be a self-starter who consistently demonstrates the ability to produce results and resolve complex problems. Quality of work is key as errors can cause delay, expense, and/or disruption.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will perform:

  • Create, format and deliver SQL based report/queries to support implementation analysis and or data conversion requirements.

  • Create and maintain system procedure documentation and other communications as require.

  • Develop and deliver training for new application functionality delivered.

  • Preparation of documentation related to the deployment, operation and support of the new application delivery.

  • Plan and coordinate application migrations from test to production environments.

  • Capacity to work within a team structure to insure an on-time delivery of all project commitments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 8 - 10 years related experience

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and SQL query tools

  • Candidates must have technical comfort working with database applications

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and or Oracle Fusion ERP Financials Suite required

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Thomson Elite Financial Management systems is desired, but not required.

  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight. Strong initiative, the ability to motivate peers and the ability to work independently within a team structure. Ability to interact in a service-oriented environment.

  • Self-starter who is highly motivated to achieve results.

  • Superior communication skills; fluent written and spoken English. Ability to communicate effectively with business constituents at all levels verbally and in writing.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Fluent knowledge of Office/Office 365 applications including Visio and Microsoft Project.

  • Flexibility and the ability to operate to time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Maturity of judgment and on-demand decision making to resolve problems without delay and/or to seek support when required.

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship

  • Must consent to and successfully clear all required pre-employment screenings.

Special Requirements:

  • Requires travel (on average 25%-30%) for requirements analysis, training and staff coordination. Passport/Visa will be required.

Location: This position is located onsite in Secaucus, NJ or Florham Park NJ. No relocation assistance is provided.
