- The Senior HR Professional responds to escalated inquiries in regards to employee relations activity for all employees in the U.S. Works closely with the HR Support Center and other departments in resolving complex HR issues. Requires independent actions and a high degree of initiative in resolving such issues. Makes recommendations on new procedures. Works with little direction and acts independently to determine best business practices. Uses appropriate tracking information software in the performance of this role. The environment is fast paced and dynamic, requiring ability to respond quickly to changing priorities across multiple projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provides broad employee relations support to all lines of business in multiple areas of HR to include but not limited to: employee relations, conflict resolution and problem solving.
Company policy/guidelines interpretation. Handle complex employee relations issues.
Investigates employee complaints and conflict resolution and making recommendations to resolve issues, often in partnership with Corporate Security, Ethics, Legal HR Business Partners and/or Internal Audit.
Identifies and escalates root cause(s) of issues handled.
Acts as a liaison between field operations, managers, employees and HR functions (i.e. governance, benefits, HR integration).
Provides counseling, coaching and problem solving to managers and employees on various HR resource issues.
Proactively communicates to managers and employees about company programs and initiatives.
Provides training and support to associate level HR Staff.
Compiles reports and analysis to ensure legal compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
HR Certification PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP (preferred)
Experience in interpreting and applying US Federal and State employment laws.
Prior HR Generalist experience with heavy focus on employee relations and investigations.
5-7 years of HR experience in multiple HR activities (i.e. employee relations, training, coaching and counseling, investigations, risk mitigation, etc)
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Must be organized and able to follow a systematic method of completing tasks. Ability to prioritize.
Must be able to find solutions within the Conduent guidelines, U.S. federal guidelines and in the best interest of the parties involved.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
