Director, ITS Financial Planning and Analysis

Locations: Florham Park, NJ or Lexington, KY - must be onsite at one of these two locations

Purpose:

  • Responsible for financial analysis of business activity and development of business plans, outlooks and assessments. Includes analysis of projected capital investments.

  • Directs and/or manages the organization’s budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis and reporting functions.

Scope:

General:

  • Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of organizational strategies

  • Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges/ regulatory issues

  • Decisions are guided by functional strategies and priorities

  • May include international accountability; and may include some global accountability

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, and presents relevant information to executive management.

  • Monitors division, department or business unit’s adherence to approved budgets.

  • Develops, modifies and implements financial systems, financial operational specifications and controls, and policies and procedures.

  • Ensures strong financial processes and governance are utilized for all program and portfolio activities.

  • Manages the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for internal and external users.

  • Ensures reports and disclosures comply with applicable governmental regulations, professional standards and organizational policies.

  • Provides direction in the form of broad objectives to other managers.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Candidate Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance discipline required.

  • MBA with a finance concentration is preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in a senior financial analysis role in a large firm, highly matrixed environment.

Candidate Background:

  • Proven ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks to ensure timely completion of all activities

  • Evidence of strong leadership skills and a successful track record of developing others through coaching, mentoring, motivating and training.

  • Extensive experience in multinational companies and/or high-growth organizations.

  • Able to champion new ideas, manage change, and execute on action plans.

  • Ability to manage, motivate and inspire people to embrace change.

  • Demonstrates proficient negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes

  • Versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm, and a willingness to work within constantly-changing priorities

  • Proven ability to determine, own and follow through coherent strategies
