Job Summary:

Responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties to assist Client Account Managers and Account Representatives service both internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs support and follow-up tasks related bills in held status, vendor information, claim research and reporting requests from clients.

  • Ensures the delivery of excellent service by assisting with new client implementation, researching provider billing issues and problems with individual claims, data entry of held bills; creates reports as needed by the client.

  • Maintains a balanced position when confronted with client concerns; demonstrates sensitivity towards customer issues, profitability and marketplace reputation are protected.

  • Assists Client Account Managers and Account Representatives with issues requiring client or provider contact such as obtaining additional claim information and operational/workflow requests.

  • Assists Customer Account Managers and Account Representatives with vendor and claim maintenance, including tracking import files and communicating with providers to obtain billing information.

  • Performs research into claim inquiries and review/monitor holds.

  • Notifies Client Account Managers and Account Representatives regarding resolution of customer issues and any obstacles to meeting client expectations.

  • Prepares standardized client and department reports and other reports as requested by Client Account Managers, Account Representative r Department Manager.

  • Identifies problems, communicates internally with StrataWare Groups to ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns; Escalates more complex problems to the next level.

  • Provides the highest level of customer service to customers, whether these are current or prospective clients of the Company, vendors, staff, business partners or visitors.

  • Manages confidential client, financial and employee information with discretion and good judgment in accordance with department and Company guidelines.

  • Demonstrates a dependable work ethic.

  • Respond to provider issues and direct problem resolution.

  • Set an example of courtesy and professionalism for all co-workers and customers.

  • Complete additional work assignments as required by management.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Bill Review guidelines and procedures.

  • Demonstrate professional attitude and communication at all times with coworkers.

  • Adhere to the Bill Review Department Dependability guidelines.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Ability to learn ICD-9 and CPT Coding

  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows-based software

  • Ability to learn and apply basic medical terminology

  • Outstanding communication verbal and written

  • Ability to assess and document reconsideration issues

  • Minimum one (1) year of Bill Review experience

  • Able to pass a drug screening and background investigation

  • Defines project/system requirements and test plans that satisfy client requirements. Develops process flows, operating procedures, and metrics for process improvement, and assists with related communications. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, and escalates to management as needed. Develops working relationships with clients, third party vendors, and /or ancillary service providers and other internal parties to ensure seamless delivery on specific tasks, special projects and/or participant issues.



  • Performs routine assignments in entry level of the professional career band

  • Typically a graduate, although may have progressed into the role via equivalent business experience that provide knowledge and exposure to fundamental, theories, principles, and concepts

  • Professional roles will typically require a degree in their specific discipline which may apply to specific positions.

  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others

  • Limited decision making authority guided by policies, procedures, and business operations protocol

Primary Responsibilities:

  • May perform one or more of the following:

  • Assist in the definition, development and maintenance of project and system requirements, technical specifications, and test plans.

  • Execute and own complex research initiatives and the analysis and resolution of technical issues, resulting from operational control breakdowns, legislative changes, or system outages.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of process flows, administrative summaries, and standard operating procedures

  • Develops metrics that provide data for process management and indicators for future improvement opportunities.

  • Measures performance against process requirements, aligning improvement projects to close performance shortfalls.

  • Develop working relationships with client, third party vendors and /or ancillary service providers and other internal parties to ensure seamless delivery on specific tasks, special projects and/or participant issues.

  • Participate in internal communications on standard processes and reporting.

  • Troubleshoot application and data issues and direct to the appropriate contacts.

  • Understand and mitigate risk; escalate high risk, complex or problematic issues to Management.

  • Manage complex projects and work requests with consistent accuracy and completeness.

  • Work collaboratively and productively to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • All other duties as assigned
