Principle Duties of a Field Service Technician:

A Field Service Technician will be assigned to work with specific program/ clients to service, maintain and operate multiple systems to ensure that the client can operate and enforce their sites daily with no down time. This is not limited to any physical aspect of assisting on daily PCU routes and schedule equipment moves, which require one to be able to physically lift up to 125 pound batteries or heavy equipment. Candidate should have basic electrical and mechanical experience to be able to work with multimeters, rewiring harnesses for batteries, chargers and to work on and replace any type of mechanical and electrical equipment that we currently service. Candidate should also be familiar with working with ladders and working at high altitudes. Should have minimal safety knowledge and experience working with a bucket truck, also must have basic knowledge of road safety laws, as well as a valid driver’s license as candidate will be expected to drive their assigned work vehicle. Candidate should also have computer skills to be able to quickly learn and use several different programs that are required to be able to service our current equipment; Excel, to be able to do a daily log to provide to maintenance manager and supervisors; also candidate will be required to perform a monthly maintenance report that will be provided to each individual client that they currently service. This includes but is not limited to user support, new hire systems setups, and desktop/laptop software evaluations and upgrades. Provides quick response and maximum uptime for all users and performs end user training when necessary. Installs and repairs microcomputer hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives. Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal computers. May require PC system experience in a LAN environment, strong understanding of Windows operating systems, experience with all Microsoft Office products as well as troubleshooting experience and understanding of e-mail. Provides technical on-site maintenance and support for new and existing systems. This job includes all aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and IP networking. All other duties as assigned.
