  • Responsible for those functions, activities, and skills required for analysis, design, coding, integration, test & maintenance of software modules, subsystems or systems which control other electrical, mechanical, electronic or network systems.


  • General:

  • Recognized as an expert in own function

  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices

  • Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives

  • Primarily domestic scope/accountability; may include some international scope/accountability

  • Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirement

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the system architecture direction of Finance & Tax related systems and projects.

  • Supports the Delivery and Business teams with architectural and technical approaches, design and support of products.

  • Recommend, review and approve technical approaches and design of project and product deliverables.

  • Provide technological inputs to the Business and Delivery to help develop Technology and Product Road-maps.

  • Design and deliver new systems and enhancements, including non-functional requirements, to existing systems to meet business objectives in a manner that balances risk with performance and cost.

  • Work with delivery teams to triage and address technical issues raised by the Customers.

  • Work with the delivery teams which may include contractors and third-party vendors that could be

  • Support on-going development projects by participating in (as requested) solution design, standards development, technical design reviews, code reviews, performance testing, performance tuning, issue resolution, root cause analysis, etc.

  • Participate in routine meetings, planning and estimation activities, and documentation reviews.

  • Make hardware or software purchasing recommendations regarding web development.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other IT related field.

  • 10 years of IT Delivery Experience, including a recent role as senior technical resource.

  • 10 years of experience developing mission-critical IT projects.

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in technologies, architecture, integration, products.

  • Hands on experience and expertise with .Net and C#.

  • Expertise with SDLC and various delivery methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).

  • Experience building Technology Roadmaps.

  • Experience with government, industry, and large corporations.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively present to Management and Customers.

  • Works with teams that are geographically scattered, including onsite-offshore.

  • Customer focused good rapport with 3rd party vendors.

  • Knowledge of various development platforms.
