Part-Time

Shift: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM until 1:00 PM. May work overtime as needed by the unit.

Job Description and Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience and working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, error free, high volume, deadline driven wholesale lockbox environment.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • 3-5 years lockbox processing experience; may need to pass a lockbox proficiency test.

  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screen

  • Position requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity to meet account baseline and the ability to coordinate and organize work.

  • Proven ability to meet productivity metrics ( error free work and items per hour ) on a consistent basis.

Job Duties

May perform one or more of the following duties as determined by manager or business needs:

  • Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing (not limited to):

  • Slice/Count/Sort Mail (receive and accurately distribute incoming mail)

  • Batch Preparation (pre-coded and identifiable alphanumeric data from source document)

  • Scan batches into automated document scanner

  • Re-association of check images to corresponding back-up documents

  • Mail Out (pre-coded and identifiable alphanumeric data from source document)

  • Data Entry (may sporadically perform keying of alpha/numeric information from source documents to into system)

  • Ability to follow detailed client account instructions, process high volume and solve problems through ongoing feedback.

  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of end-to-end functions

  • Ability to meet productivity metrics ( error free work and high volume per hour ) on a consistent basis.

  • Agile and proven ability to continuously follow direction, learn and adapt

  • Timely communicate and escalate areas of problems or issues to management to avoid production schedules

  • Experienced in tracking and monitoring internal reports

  • Assist peers and partner with remote teams as needed

  • Shows strong adherence to the Code of Conduct, security protocol and operating procedures.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties and support overall operations as assigned; may be crossed trained in various areas to ensure timely processing during production peaks.

Requirements

  • Must have PC skills office, clerical, bank operations, item processing, data entry or other related lockbox experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and concurrently as a team player.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Proven reliability and commitment to work schedule and attendance. Flexibility to work additional hours with little notice.

  • Working knowledge of banking operations and lockbox processing systems preferred.

  • Proven high quality standard for work produced (consistent error free) and high throughput (consistent Items for Hour)

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet rigorous deadlines

  • Follow internal operational controls and adhere to banking industry regulations

  • Support other operations and administrative functions as required.

  • Ability to work both independently and as active participant in a team environment.

  • Contributes towards a positive, collaborative and supportive workplace.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of what is typically found in a Transaction Processor position.

  • Sit at a desk, stand, walk, bend, lift 20-30 lbs., carry document trays and clean equipment during scheduled hours.

  • Read and follow procedures and instructions on a computer screen or on paper.

  • The equipment used in this position includes, but is not limited to, computer, telephone, fax machine, printer, mail slicer, document scanner and postage meters

  • Ability to work in a noisy, paper heavy and fast-paced environment.
