Currently, we are seeking excellent Retirement Benefits Senior Specialist to join our team at 1434 Crossways Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23320 . This position is a call center position assisting people with inquiries regarding their Health and Welfare benefits. Ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, analytical, adheres to company/call center policies, researches information before going to the Technical Analyst for assistance, ability to communicate professionally with each client interaction & diffuse irate callers, timely manage his/her workbox, and adheres to assigned schedule and established departmental metrics (ACW, Unscheduled Aux time, etc.); can sit for periods of time. Job Specifics:

  • Shifts will be scheduled during our normal business operating hours anytime between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday – Friday (No Weekends). Applicants must have open availability to work any hours scheduled during operating hours!

Job Description:

As a Retirement Benefits Senior Specialist working in a call center environment, you will be working to support customers with their medical benefits accounts.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Accurately performs complex and non-complex pension projections and final retirement calculations.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, interpreting and correcting system generated error messages in DB7 Participant Database.

  • Performs complex & non-complex research, analyzes data and provides resolution to inquiries received from participants, client and third parties.

  • Corrects participants’ data in the Participant Database.

  • Performs Users Acceptance and Production Testing on system upgrades to ensure outcome is accurate.

  • Setup executive retirement payments in the Participant Database.

  • Confers with technical analyst and team members to resolve uncommon issues.

  • As necessary, communicates complex research finding to participants.

  • Processes and completes projects assign by targeted dates.

  • Assists the team in meeting contractual and non-contractual service agreements by completing assigned transactions.

  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications :

Successful candidate for this position will have:

  • Mathematical: Conceptual understanding of data, numbers, their relationships, combinations and operations.

  • Computer: Experience working with a PeopleSoft Database and the ability to navigate multiple software applications at once.

  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree is required

Preferred Skills:

  • Preferred experience with Health & Welfare Benefits and 401K pensions.

  • Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED but PREFER Associates or BA/BS degree.

  • Two years of experience in Defined Benefits, or Benefits Administration is a plus .

  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft preferred.

  • Payroll/HR experience is preferred. Workday Experience would be a plus as well.

  • Previous experience with Business writing is preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
