Job Description: Functional Implementation Consultant

Job Summary:

Conduent is seeking a highly talented and experienced individual with hands-on Property and Tax Management background, coupled with a functional aptitude for Information Systems.

The individual in this role will be participate in major new State and Local Government projects and will collaborate with a team of functional, technical experts and representatives of client organizations to implement our integrated software solutions.

The ideal candidate must also display a combination of technical and business-savvy aptitude. The individual will play a hands-on role in implementation activities which include preparing requirements gathering workshops, defining system requirements, conducting business process analysis and mapping to computer supported processes, requirements validation, system configuration, data conversion and end user training. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Property Tax applications.

Applicants will have held a recent role as an Implementation consultant in a professional services team and/or a Senior Business Analyst with client facing responsibilities in a software development team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate functional domain expertise in all areas of Property Tax management, including Computer Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA), Property Assessment and Administration and Property Billing Collections & Distributions.

  • Manage, conduct and participate in implementation projects ranging from departmental deployments to large enterprise engagements.

  • Conduct business process assessment and process engineering and map current to future processes using industry standard practices.

  • Document functional requirements and solution design documentation to address customer specific requirements.

  • Work in close collaboration with technical development teams to ensure application configurations, modifications and enhancements are done in accordance with client requirements.

  • Perform system configuration and tailoring in collaboration with a team of functional and technical experts.

  • Participation in the planning and management of data conversion efforts.

  • Assist in organizing and supporting user acceptance test cycles.

  • Support the client during final User Acceptance.

  • Conduct or participate in project management review sessions with customer project teams.

  • Work with Development and Technical teams to efficiently troubleshoot problems.

  • Assist, as needed, with company-wide initiatives and meeting demands on the services team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in systems implementations on multi-site projects involving enterprise level application systems.

  • Experience and exposure with Property Tax management (desired).

  • Strong understanding of systems implementation concepts.

  • Practical experience in Business process engineering at the enterprise level.

  • 10 years’ experience in Information Systems implementation and/or development roles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft productivity and project management tools.

  • Possesses excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Information Systems fundamentals and concepts.

  • A “can do” attitude and “out-of-the-box” thinking is a must.

  • Must be a strong team player and demonstrate an ability to work well with others.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites during implementation phases of a project.

  • Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Must consent to and successfully clear all required pre-employment screenings (background and substance abuse).

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Prior consulting experienced gained with a reputable consulting agency is highly desirable.
